Belcher Bay Promenade Installation – Kennedy Town, Hong Kong
“Pixel World” is a scalable and repeatable pixelized concept that can be adapted to various architectural typologies. The idea is drawn inspiration from realizing the “sense of presence” of virtual reality. The primary structural frame is designed in a GMS grid system to control the cost of production of each module. Vibrant colours are adopted as material highlight to resonate the entertaining and playful atmosphere. With the incorporation of shade and furniture, the structural grid can be extended out or stacked up giving a potential of adding more modules for more functions in the future. The occupants have the ability to break-out from the reality and immerse themselves in an open innovative ground.
